A Complete Guide About To Eczema

Eczema

Medical science is still divided by what exactly causes eczema and whether it is a genetic trait, whether this is the reason or some outside influence, remains a mystery. The most common symptoms are red, dry and itchy areas of skin on anyone who suffers with it. Other symptoms may include surface blisters that can have a crusty surface.

Many types of eczema exist with the most popular form called atopic eczema, however, all forms share one main symptom: that of severe itching. Atopic eczema brings with increased itching compare to other forms but is relieved when the sufferer scratches, Another problem caused by the condition is it makes the skin more sensitive to almost any substance,as a result, products like detergents, soaps and often cosmetics just inflame the condition.

When small children suffer with this it often goes unnoticed for a while as the affected patches are under the skin. There are occasions where a person with eczema can have a rash but it is not itchy,if this ‘itchiness’ is not present in a person who suffers with the condition then it is unlikely to be a symptom of it. However, if the itching has been somehow improved by eczema treatment but the rash has not, then the rash may not be related to the itch.

Because itching is a symptom in many problems related to the skin, including this skin disorder, this is not the basis of diagnosing the condition. All eczema conditions have a rash but it is the associated itching sensation that is not understood yet. Red skin is another symptom of and this is as a result of the increased blood flow in the area. Eczema inflammation can have many triggers and more about this is being discovered constantly, scratching can lead to bacteria infecting the area and making the inflammation worse. Most blisters seen as part of the symptoms are quite small but large blisters can also occur, this may be the result of the person’s skin type or from an infection. There is a need to be careful with these blisters as they contain fluid, often pus, bursting these blisters is not advisable if you do not want further infection.
