It is true to say that a calorie controlled diet is not necessarily a healthy one just as eating everything available isn’t either! The hungry horse type or person will even eat the out-of-date food from the refrigerator without batting an eyelid! A bit of cake here, some cookies there, leftover pie, as soon as you see it, you have to have it. Yes, tons of us do this, it’s called instant gratification; many of us do not even know what a health supplement is. Resveratrol supplement is found in the skin of certain plants such as red grapes, raspberries, mulberries, blueberries, cranberries and red wine. Resveratrol is in abundance in red wine.

Ok so it was a little graphic but it made the point because you are not doing yourself any good consuming everything you see that way. It must be obvious that food consumption of this type is going to be bad for your health in the long term so perhaps you need to start planning ahead and replace these bad habits with good ones like taking health supplements. Before you say no, just think about the benefits these supplements can bring to your long term health and happiness. I often get told by individuals that they just cannot stomach the stuff even though they have never taken them.

There are thousands of different types so I would suggest you try a few before you make a comment. You see many health supplements come in wonderful flavors such as vanilla and chocolate. Personally, I take two types of supplements and one of those is a multivitamin that I’ve been taking for so many years I have lost count. I believe everyone no matter how healthily you eat would benefit from taking multivitamins and all you do is swallow one at a mealtime.

The other health supplement I enjoy is whey protein which I only started drinking a little while ago. These drinks are absolute powerhouses of protein; it’s quite amazing really when you think about it. It’s also easy and very convenient to drink, in the morning and at lunch time. The other great thing is it will add about 30 grams of protein to your muscles which should help with your new found health care regime.

You often hear people saying you can’t have good without bad but that’s not true with today’s health supplements because they have removed everything that’s bad for you. You can be sure that the dreaded four of salt, sugar, saturated fats and cholesterol aren’t there because our diets contain too much of these already. So what’s next?
